As I begin my journey towards serving the people of Makueni County, one of my first priorities was to meet the fathers of the land, seek their blessings and pray for God's guidance in the journey ahead.
On 7 October 2026, I had the opportunity to meet His Lordship Simon Peter Kamomoe, Bishop of Makueni, during the opening of the Marian Grotto at Kitise Parish.
The occasion was a meaningful moment of faith, fellowship and reflection. It reminded me of the important role our spiritual leaders play in guiding families, nurturing our communities and upholding the values that bring us together.
I believe leadership begins with humility, prayer and a willingness to listen. Seeking the blessings of our spiritual fathers reflects my belief that the responsibility of serving our people should be approached with wisdom, integrity and a sincere heart.
Kitise holds a special place in my heart, making this occasion particularly meaningful. As I take these first steps, I remain prayerful and committed to a journey guided by faith, grounded in our community and focused on service to the people of Makueni.
May God grant us wisdom, strength and grace for the journey ahead.
